Saturday we woke up early in the morning to pack our bags and head towards the Phi Phi Islands! It was really beautiful over there, but all the tourism made me more interested in sunbathing, shopping & people than scenery and nature.  We actually had to pay a entry fee on 20 bath when we entered the island, because they had problems with keeping the island clean with all the tourism, I don’t think I have to explain any further. In the 1970’s the Island was not known and a backpacker paradise. In 2000 the movie “The beach” came and after that tourism has more or less exploded here.  We had the chance to visit Maya Bay, the location from the movie. But the whole point of the movie and the beach was that it was theirs and an “abounded” island, with a small community of backpackers and weirdoes creating their own little society. Seeing 300 tourists running all over it with their Nikon cameras just didn’t seem tempting to me. Not when I know that me and Are is going to travel into our very own hidden treasures in only a week or so, then the real adventure is about to begin! :D

Hello tourists!

The hotel was all right, everything’s better than bump beds and lack of space!

Haha and they had the most detailed deposit list I’ve ever seen! (Click the images for larger view). Couldn’t they just had written don’t puke, shit, piss and spill your blood in our hotel room, it will cost you mucho grande!! After my stay they will probably add “Purple stains on towel”.. mohaha :D

The food here was awesome. Coconut ice-shake! <3  This was taken at an outside restaurant, but the rest of the food I purchased was down at the local marked. They have so many nice treats! Perfect for people like me who don’t like large meals :D

Then all of the sudden someone switched of the lights! Haha Sindre & Jeanette in the moonlight. Pictures taken outside our hotel Charley Beach Resort.

Phi Phi at night. I warn my readers in advance that this blog will contain a large amount of stray dogs and kittens. They’re everywhere! :D I purchased a LOT in the markets, 3 dresses, foot chains etc. They will probably pop up during my journey. I’ve started to realize that everything I’m buying now is a weird mixture of gypsy/magician/backpacker/tomb-raider/elf/steampunk/goth.  Gonna be interesting to see that style take form;P

Bye Koh Phi Phi!
